A-boards, so aptly named due to their shape – that of a capital A of course. Sometimes referred to as sandwich boards, A-boards are a common sight in everyday life, touting for your custom and advertising interesting and wonderful wares as you walk down the road. As eluded to, A-boards are a popular advertising platform for cafes, pubs, and a variety of shops; acting as a great way to gather our attention and depending what is written on the A-board, encourage us inside as well.
Pavement signs and A-boards can be an effective way to increase your footfall, for most retailers, estate agents, gym’s, bars or banks outdoor displays are a must have. The great part about an A-board is its portability, simply pick it up and put it where you think it will be seen by the most eyes. Particularly if you have a time sensitive offer on, or your establishment is a little set back from the road, an A-board can make all the difference.
Bare in mind that a customers first impression of your business will take into account your A-board, if you have one. Everything from your branding, to your choice of signage and any other visual cues you have outside your establishment, will all play into whether that person decides to walk in, or walk on.
Beaumont TM have quite an extensive range of A-boards to choose from, all manufactured by us in the UK. We have four variations of the A-board, all of which come in different shapes and sizes. One of our most popular A-boards, particularly with bars and pubs, is the Square Famed, Oak finish (as pictured in the image at the start of the article). This A-board is available in 3 different sizes, ranging from 800mm x 515mm to 14000mm x 765mm. With two chalkboard faces to display on, the Square Framed A-board, alongside the Curved Top are our basic A-boards and represent something quick and easy that gets the job done. The curved top A-board with Oak finish can be seen below:
All of our A-boards are manufactured using high quality materials, in the UK. This ensures your A-board will stand the test of the weather and being moved around, folded up and down, on a daily basis. The Square Top and Curved Top are both manufactured using Oak. The chalkboards are created using a flexible, laminated board. We have always manufactured our A-boards this way as it ensures your chalkboard doesn’t warp when exposed to various conditions and it also keeps ‘ghosting’ from what was previously on the chalkboard, to a minimum.
Another favourite is the Green Metal Sided A-board. This is our only metal A-board and is manufactured from high grade box section steel and further powder coated with a UV stable polyester. In the traditional A-board shape (with the curved top), this A-board is a favourite for more extreme conditions as the metal finish provides a bit of extra weight. All of our A-boards also come with precision engineered ‘stay’ brackets, which ensure that once opened the A-board will not come crashing down.
Finally we have our two reversible A-boards. These wondrous A-boards are available in the traditional curved top shape as well as the square top and both come in the Oak finish. The reversible nature of the chalkboards essentially provides you with 2 more surfaces than any of the other A-boards. If you have multiple messages that need to be changed quickly and easily, then this is the perfect addition. A great example of this could be pubs and restaurants offering different lunchtime and dinner menus, or offers. Best of all, as the chalkboards easily slip in and out of this A-board, replacement boards are also available, so if you do find yourself with a ruined board because someone has used a low quality liquid chalk – no need to buy a whole new A-board!
Speaking of liquid chalk and chalkboard remover, we make sure to stock the best in the business so if need be you can get everything in one place. The Cyclone chalkboard cleaning solution is like none we have ever tried before and makes cleaning a chalkboard look easy. Combined with the Chisel Tip liquid chalk you have everything you will need to design your very own A-board advertisement.
