We were proud to be sponsoring the Monin Battle of Bartenders 2019 for the second year. One of the largest bartending competitions in Lithuania, taking place in the capital city Vilnius, the Battle of Bartenders is always a popular event. With 30 different bartenders from around Lithuania signing up to compete, the winner bagged themselves a trip to Berlin, an assortment of various Beaumont TM and Monin goodies, as well as a place in the Monin Cup in France.
In the lead up to the Battle of Bartenders 2019 there were various events happening including a Bar BootCamp, famous speakers from around the hospitality and bartending world, and a cocktail masterclass from bartending legend Marek Posluszny. The format of the competition sees pairs of bartenders battle it out until there is only one bartender left standing – a battle of bartending skill that is, not a bar spoon sword fight…
As a cocktail competition, rather than a flair bartending competition, many of our specialist cocktail making tools were on show – some of which you can see in the set up below. Competition cocktail preparation can be a challenging endeavour, where accuracy is key; as a result, each of the bottles was kitted out with TD 105-30 pour spouts and a choice of cocktail tins was provided ranging from our 28oz stainless steel tin to our antique brass range.
If you can use it to make a cocktail we made sure the bartenders had it. From our classic soda syphon to mixing glasses of various shapes and sizes, bar spoons and strainers. Congratulations to all the bartenders that took part, and in particular to the winner Lukas Silinis.
