When it comes to corporate events, there’s no one-size-fits-all plan that you can implement. You might have been given a detailed brief by your guests or given a budget and a blank slate. Whatever your remit is when it comes to style and menu, there are some things that are essential for a successful event. So, here are a few top tips…
Choose a theme
Depending on the type of event you’re hosting, different themes will be appropriate. Whilst formal corporate events may not be looking for a tiki night (although we can provide for this), they don’t have to follow exactly the same drab aesthetic. Orienting around different colour tones such as copper, gold or antique brass can provide a unique feel for events that would otherwise be generic.
Make clever menu choices
The phrase “mass production” sounds quite ugly. But when it comes to preparing for a corporate event, you’ll need to design a menu that you can produce easily on a large scale. This is especially important if you’re going to serve cocktails continuously throughout the evening. Of course, you should make sure that quality is never sacrificed, so that your venue really sticks out.
It could be a good idea to dehydrate leftover fruit or make candied citrus slices, so that you can prepare a large quantity in advance and produce stunning results.
Think carefully about layout
If you’re serving wine or bubbles, you may want ice buckets and stands distributed across the room to make serving quicker and simpler, and keep drinks colder for longer. If it’s appropriate, you may also want to make sure that items like bar caddies and napkin holders are around the room.
Getting these things right will give you the foundations you need for a successful event!
