Over the past week Beaumont have been having their own version of Brexit, well less like Brexit and more like Brenter! By this we mean Beaumont exploring Europe, first to Malta and Lithuania and then to Ukraine in a fortnight, introducing and educating the local industry on Beaumont’s product range.
The aim of the excursion was to further our relationship with our main distributors in these European countries but also to provide a light education around Beaumont’s product range – and why in particular Beaumont’s barware stands out as the best in the industry (not only in Europe) but around the world. Furthermore, our team was also visiting many of the great local bars and drinking establishments (not to indulge mind!) but rather to show them some cool USP’s of the Beaumont barware range and also how to really play on the aesthetics of many of these products (such as our Mezclar range), to increase sales and more.
The agenda for each of our visits to Malta, Lithuania, and Ukraine were led by our Sales Director Nick de Borde and consisted of hand’s on sessions with the products – followed by an educational talk from Nick around the product range, and in particular what makes Beaumont’s products different. A great example of this is the Beaumont strainers, which come with four outer prongs (or ears), the same as many other four pronged strainers. However, the two forward prongs on many of these strainers are bent down – as a result it makes it very hard (as any bartender will know) to then have the strainer flush up against the inside of the Boston tin when pouring – which in turn makes it quite hard to properly strain the drink in question. At Beaumont we pay special attention to these small details as we understand it can make all the difference.
Accompanying our team was multiple flair bartender world champion, Tom Dyer, who also put on a number of shows both for the bartenders and the distributors throughout our Europe trip. In particular for the bartenders and local bars, it was great for many of them to see Tom in action and also to learn from his many years experience in the industry, in terms of best practice on aesthetics behind the bar, how to serve, speed of service and more.
All in all it was a hugely beneficial experience both for our distribution partners in Malta, Lithuania, and Ukraine – but also for the local bar industry in these areas we visited and of course Beaumont.
